Oh, you should never, never, doubt what nobody is sure about.
Where is fancy bred? In the heart or in the head?
Ok. Settle down everyone. Back to your seats. At long last here is what you have been wanting to know. Why I can write about health, fitness, and overall wellness. Do try to contain yourselves…
If I am to be less conservative, general wellness is something I have experience in from birth. As in, I have always been physically active. I have always enjoyed and embarked on intellectual pursuits which keeps my mind sharp. And thanks to my ethnic background, I have always been fed meals that are delicious and nutritious at the same time. I do believe this is one thing which sets me apart from some other wellness authors. Everything wellness related that I write about has been an integral part of my life since day one. Not something I just stumbled upon to slim down or bulk up for purely aesthetic purposes. No no.
If you read my last post you know I have written three books on these three areas of wellness I just mentioned. Moreover, these books are first and foremost health, not vanity, focused.
Another thing that may set me apart is my educational and work background. Having been trained in the sciences and worked as a college instructor has afforded me the ability to compile and explain all this wellness information in a very digestible manner. In a move some may perceive as unusual based on these facts, I tend to glance over the scientific details. Rather, my preference is to get down to the brass tax of why some way of eating, or exercising (mentally or physically) will work for you. Stemming from all my many years of experience.
Accordingly, my goal is to offer a simple guide to wellness that people can learn the basics from and use as a reference for many years to come.
Still not convinced…? Well good, because that is what I hope to do with this newsletter (and books). Provide you with information that you can try out for yourself, by yourself, and be the judge for yourself. In doing so, I am sure you will be able to see the method behind my philosophies. Hopefully you will be entertained at the same time…!
As far as access to this newsletter, as of early 2023 it is free to everyone. Signing up for a free subscription will offer access to all of my posts. Currently, I am working through the archives to undue any paid subscriber posts that still exist. A monthly paid subscription will provide much needed support to my efforts. Ditto for those that chose to subscribe as a founding member. Eventually when this turns into a paid blog/newsletter, paid subscribers will still have full access to everything. Founding members will retain access to everything, plus bonus posts only for them. Free subscribers will have limited access to everything.
It turns out in the self-publishing world it takes money to make money. Or more specifically, it takes money to publish a book on your own. In the traditional publishing world, a following is all that is needed. And I mean tens of thousands of subscribers and followers over all social media platforms. So any which way you can subscribe would be greatly appreciated…!
As I always go for quality bang for the buck options, I hope my posts will present a solid value for your investment. Whether that be of your time, or your time and paid monthly subscription. Every bit of support will help.
Down the road, this may lead to a crowdfunding campaign to self-publish each book. What will be on offer is the ability for readers to pre-order copies of the book at the very least since I will add different incentives for different patronage levels. These campaigns will allow me to afford the editing, interior layout, cover design, formatting, and marketing campaign needed to launch a new book. Without these steps, the professionalism of the finished product, and much needed advertising/media exposure, will not exist.
Or I could land a book deal with a traditional publisher which would be great.
So here I start on this journey. I hope this newsletter interests you enough to support this process of bringing my first three manuscripts to market. It has been an interesting process thus far, and I am sure it's about to get even more so.
Look out for different recipes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with nutritional information breakdowns. Mental exercises one can start doing on a regular basis to sharpen their intellect. And commentary on physical exercises that can really improve the quality of your physical and mental being. Not mention some behind the scenes information towards the process of bringing a manuscript to a full-fledged published digital and physical book.
See you soon and happy reading…!
